Role at Bord&Stift: Editor.
Working here since: Spring 2016.
What is the last documentary you have seen? Westerners.
Which book are you reading at the moment? ‘I’ve been reading Lord of the Rings for the seventeenth time. I’m also reading Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari and a fantasy Book of Choice, on my phone through an app. At the end of each page you make a choice and this changes the story.’
What makes you happy at Bord&Stift?
‘The people. I am very happy with the group we have formed. When I talk to other people about their work, I see again how special it is at Bord&Stift: how good the atmosphere is, how open we are to each other. We could have made sandwiches together, so to speak, I would have been almost as happy. It’s the group that does it.’
What do you like most about your role?
‘As an editor you are at the very end of the process, so you get the drawings and then you finally finish it yourself. What I deliver is really finished and I really enjoy that.’
Where does the strength of Bord&Stift lie?
‘I think it largely has to do with the people who work there. I feel that clients are very happy with us and how we treat each other and them. In addition, our videos are getting better, because we work well together. We evaluate all projects and together look for ways to continue to develop.’
What do you do besides Bord&Stift?
‘I am a graphic designer and I often read and play games. My girlfriend and I love to travel, our last long journey was three months in a van touring New Zealand and Indonesia.’
What little things in life make you happy?
‘I am quite a happy person, I enjoy everything. Sometimes I walk down the street, I look around and realize what is actually happening on the street. The busy traffic, interaction between cyclists and pedestrians and all the different people walking by. Or I suddenly realize that I’ve been walking past the same window for three months without ever looking through the window. Then there happens to be a very strange mannequin there. I like that.’
